Three New Partners Named at Manning Fulton

Manning Fulton is pleased to announce that three attorneys have been elected to partnership in the firm.  Those attorneys, all of whom served previously in associate roles at Manning Fulton, are J. Whitfield Gibson, John A. Hardin and Natalie M. Rice.

Mann, Manning Fulton’s managing partner.  “We welcome them, and know they will continue to strengthen the firm through exceptional service to our clients and community.” 

Litigator Whitfield Gibson regularly works with clients to reduce their risk of employment-related claims, and successfully defends businesses against allegations of employer wrongdoing in state and federal courts.  He is also regularly retained by insurance carriers to defend clients against purported professional errors and omissions and other claims.  A member of Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite,” Mr. Gibson received his Juris Doctor from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and his undergraduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar.  

John Hardin is a core member of the firm’s Government Relations team, through which he advocates for the needs and interests of clients in the executive and legislative branches of state government.  In addition, Mr. Hardin has earned a reputation as a leading expert in the areas of condemnation and eminent domain law, land use and zoning.  Recognized as a “Rising Star” by North Carolina Super Lawyers, Mr. Hardin has long supported the YMCA of the Triangle, and is the immediate past president of Capital City Clauses.  He received his Juris Doctor from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and his undergraduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. 

Natalie Rice maintains a wide-ranging practice with particular concentrations in complex business, real estate and franchise litigation.  Most recently, Ms. Rice has expertly and effectively handled claims involving unfair and deceptive trade practices, breach of contract and purported misappropriation of trade secrets.  Recognized as a “Rising Star” by North Carolina Super Lawyers, Ms. Rice received her Juris Doctor from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and her undergraduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
